    Hi All,

OK, so I can use 'top' to monitor the load on my dedicated server at any given time, and mrtg graphs are available to view my bandwidth - how do I combine the two so I can see mrtg-like graphical representation of my server load over time?

Is mrtg cut out for this is job or is it optimised for traffic/bandwidth bandwidth monitoring only?

How do others monitor server load?

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Thanks! I'll check it out.

I'm also waiting on some information regarding mrtg's ability to do the job too...

    Hi-
A well configured mrtg is also very nice for monitoring server load. I can't remember any urls off the top of my head, but take a look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com and search for mrtg.
    Hope you find that helpful.
