    Hello,

One of my clients lost his address book after I updated to the latest cpanel. Why did this happen and is there any way to recover?

    Thanks.

The same problem here  - cannot view contacts from a webmail, but all records are present in turba_objects MySQL database!

I found the error I had was caused by a wrongly named file in:
    /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/turba/scripts/upgrades/

    1.2_to_2.0.sql should have been 1.2_to_2.0.mysql.sql

    To fix:

    cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/turba/scripts/upgrades/

If the file is wrongly named, rename it:

    mv 1.2_to_2.0.sql 1.2_to_2.0.mysql.sql

Or scp it over from another server with the correct filename

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/updatehorde

    Hi,

Yes, this worked for us after an upgrade today. Had the same symptom and bad filename.

when I renamed the script, it complained that it was looking for the old name (without the mysql in it). I ran updatehorde and the address book is still not visible.

Thanks for the post. Sadly this didn't work for me although I did rename the file.

When I ran the update I get:
Horde is up to date. Execute /usr/local/cpanel/bin/update-horde --force to force an update.

So I forced it and it spat a couple of errors out:
Updating Pear modules ...shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory

    No dice.
