    I'm getting the same error.

Came after I upgraded to latest CURRENT and did a PERL-update.

Tried running "/scripts/eximup --force" but to no help.

Sending mail works fine in SquirrelMail though, just not Horde.

I've also seen this issue for quite a few users.
Anyone aware of any quick fix? Or perhaps the issue that could be causing this?

Try changing the password for the user and see if you get an "Invalid maildirsize file" error, something like this:

The e-mail account user@domain.com was successfully modified. user+rdomain.comInvalid maildirsize file!

If that is the case, rename or remove the maildirsize file for the user, and it will be recreated on its own within a few seconds:
    /home/user/mail/domain.com/user/maildirsize

I just tried it on a server and it seem to do the trick, let me know if it works for you, otherwise we will look further into it.

    Hello,

I also get the same error. I tried changing the password and it's changed successfully. I don't get the invalid message.

Then when i try again it still doesn't work.

    Thanks for looking into this!

I had heard this was a bug introduced by cpanel in the latest release. This info from a datacenter. No confirmation from cpanel but I would love to get some, and a fix.

Please try /scripts/fullhordereset. I think it will help you to resolve your issue.

I always had issues logging in with Horde mail, I always used Squirrel Mail or something. I hired someone to fix the horde mail and it worked.. I agree with nana_coinwale you should try that... Let us know if it works?

Could we have confirmation from a cPanel rep. that doing a full reset will solve this problem please. Does this erase all the users contact lists and settings?

I'm not a cPanel rep but for what its worth I was having problems with logging into Horde mail and ran that script.

It doesn't appear to have erased any settings or contact lists and has resolved my problem.

    Thank you nana_colinwale!

Please note that this is not an official form of support. If you need an official fix, please submit a support ticket and a rep will get back to you quickly.

Just wanted to let you know that this solved my problem:

Use old style (4.0) passwords with MySQL® 4.1+ (required if you have problems with PHP apps authenticating)

Activate this option and all HORDE problems were solved.

    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.0-R15032

Same error in Horde when sending messages. Squirrelmail works fine (of course).

    Password change works fine.
Tried deleting maildirsize anyway, just for kicks. Still no good.
    Fullhordereset didn't do it.
    Already using old style passwords.

    Any other suggestions?

Oddly enough I just restarted MySQL and it started working....

Roch, for search's sake, what was the fix in your ticket?

Open a ticket with cPanel, quote ticket #202032. What the techs did in this ticket resolved my problem.

I have the same issue with Horde, and all the suggested tweaks here didn't fix it.
I'll wait another day or two to see if there's a regular fix before opening a ticket.

    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.1-C15328
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

EDIT: In our case, the error was a 550 Incorrect ELHO/HELO, and the problem was a custom Exim config statement that Horde didn't like. Cpanel support reversed the Exim to default config and Horde now works.
