I've been searching the forum several times over the past few months, but I haven't seen this specific problem posted (nor do any of the similar issues' solutions work).

When I login to Horde from the authentication popup, the left navigation menu frame loads properly. But the right (main) frame loads a login page and an error message stating "Login Failed." is printed above the "Select Language" box. I have to click the login button on this page EVERY time I load the Horde interface. Sometimes I am bounced to that page 2 or 3 times before it actually loads the inbox content.

This problem exists for all users and domains on the server and has existed for a few months.

    Hi all,

I had the same issue. Got corrected by updating cpanel.

    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/upcp --force
    /scripts/fullhordereset

    I hope it helps!

For what it's worth - I've had this problem since Horde was redesigned. The last solution of repairing the Horde database from within WHM fixed it for me. Thanks to tgibobby!!! :) :)

OOPS! - It didnt fix it after all. :(

Anybody else have any ideas??

same thing happens to me on a few servers, all centos 3.4...latest CURRENT build

Been ignoring it for a while, but would be nice to find an actual fix for it :)

    Any ideas?

This has been a problem since some other problems have been fixed with Horde - bug #2095 was opened 2/17 and has been comfirmed by numerous users. It has not been looked at by the cpanel team - it is time for some action on this...

Anyone with these issues i would encourage to update any information for BUG 2095 on bugzilla.cpanel.net as well as "vote" for the bug, as this will bring it to the attention of cPanel staff

I fixed my issue by changing the display options for "What application should Horde display after login? to HORDE. I had it set to Mail and that always caused a login failure.

    I tried, but...

    I tried

and was getting the same error... so I ran /scripts/resethorde and fix it!
(I don't know what this script does, but it fixed horde for me. Does anybody know?)

Only with it I could solve this problem.

    Hope it helps...

    Marcel

The problem existed for us when Horde was changed to its new interface a few months ago.

Here's what I've done which has now solved the issue. I did all of these things in this order (from the various replies to this topic) to make sure I've covered my bases.

    1) /scripts/updatenow
    2) /scripts/upcp --force
    3) /scripts/fullhordereset
    4) /scripts/fixwebmail
    5) /scripts/resethorde
    6) Repair Horde database through WHM

Except for this one (couldn't figure out where this was)

    7) Change display options for "What application should Horde display after login? to HORDE

The only thing in this list that makes any difference is "7) Change display options for "What application should Horde display after login? to HORDE". This is the problem - my guess would be something in the way cpanel send the username and password to horde doesn't work when you don't go to the main horde screen first. Some sort of coding fix in how the username/password is sent will be needed.

    Comments/ideas from the cpanel team?

Not true. I did everything BUT step 7 and this login failed problem doesn't occur as often. However, where is that setting to change? I can't find it anywhere.
