Hello

Have been using Ensim and Plesk in the past. Have just started hiring Cpanel dedicated servers and am very new to it. I have viewed a few scripts here for logging into Cpanel and "Webmail choices" page (after the IE patch).

Would appreciate it if someone could suggest/post a script that allows a user to login to "HORDE" directly after entering user (without @domain) and password in an HTML form (no dialog boxes/popups).

Several people have asked this question on WHT forums. If a solution exists it would help members of the Cpanel user community (like us) a lot.

Thanks for your suggestions / opinions.

not really

Hi

Am already using the same.

It does allow login to the page that allows choice of three webmail interfaces.

But (as posted earlier), it does not allow a user to login directly into his "HORDE inbox".

Suggestion/input on a script that allows logging in directly into Horde after entering username (without @domain.com) and password in a form would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

hmmm

Hello

The "current" release of WHM/Cpanel would have introduced new features. Does anyone know if it is NOW possible to login to Squirrelmail or Horde INBOX DIRECTLY after entering user (without @domain) and password (no dialog boxes/popups)

Adios

cpanel support team

I guess only someone from Cpanel support team who is interested in helping people like us (facing this problem) can resolve this issue and provide a script.

Looking forward to your response.

You can use this script to run horde.
/scripts/resethorde
/scripts/fullhordereset

But it also depends upon the error you get.
If you are unable to login to the horde showing you following error :

A fatal error has occurred:

DB Error: connect failed

[line 108 of /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/Prefs/sql.php]

Details have been logged for the administrator.
or something like:
undefined class name 'log in user/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/horde/php

And horde DB is missing from mysql,

Then :

To create horde db in mysql use following command.

$>mysql < /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/scripts/db/create_mysql.sql

Then run

$>/scripts/resethorde
$>/scripts/fullhordereset

do this:
cp /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/imapd /usr/sbin

touch /var/cpanel/usecpphp

Why do you need this script? If it's because someone is behind a proxy that won't allow other than port 80, you should check out http://www.cpanelproxy.net/ - it works wonderfully for me here. It allows access to cpanel, whm and webmail over port 80 and I have some very happy users as a result.

Well years have passed since I started this thread.

Is there a script now that makes it possible to login to Squirrelmail / Horde INBOX DIRECTLY after entering user (without @domain) and password (no dialog boxes/popups) in a FORM?

I also have customers asking about this, too.

Maybe available in next release? (keeping fingers crossed)

obviously this solution is being sought by resellers without root access - and I have been watching the thread for YEARS also.

Well, I have it down to 2 clicks instead of 3 now.

Anyone besides me want to at LEAST eliminate the extra horde login screen?

I created a desktop shortcut to log in to the webmail domain, and used Firefox to remember the email address and password. But on my host, I still have to click through a screen where you can change the language selection.

You can't avoid typing in the full email address and password every time if you want to access more than one email account on the same domain, though. (And Firefox won't remember the credentials on one computer of mine, for some reason.) I really would like to have a custom login page that would take you straight to the inbox.
