Horde/Squirrel Mail Problems - Login

Hello,
I'll refer this to Horde but happens with Squirrel mail too...
This is what happens:
Manage/Add/Remove accounts
Choose an email account to view
Enter password
Get (as everyone does) the option of H/SM
Click on H and choose Login (then the country)
Get a 'Login Failed' notice of merely nothing happens but you see the mail in the left frame.
Sometimes it'll work but many times you can try and login again and again to no avail.
(With SM you get error and goto login page but clicking the link does nothing)
Any ideas on this one?

Is this is a server wide problem or just with one account?
If it is for any particular account then :
Make sure that you dont have a inbox.lock file in the ..../mail/<domain>/<email>/ if you have then just remove it.

Initially someone will log into a mailbox and log out ... it's then that the problems start (if that makes sense?). Strange because it's as if there's a reset period where whatever mailbox is opened works 1st time.
