Hordemail and Neomail

I have problems with my server, Neomail will show all new email, all emails saved etc.. but when I log on to Hordemail, nothing shows

The most likely cause for that is the cPanel core version of PHP has been upgraded to a newer version, it will need to be downgraded again. I don't mean the PHP version used on the Apache web server I mean the instance of it used in the cPanel environment

that seems like a lot of work. how do i do that?

It's simple but you will need root access?

Just log in via ssh and type /scripts/upcp --force
