I'm having this frustating issue with Host A entrie on two servers. I have my main domain on server #1 with server hostname as server.maindoamin.com and the dns on that server. On the second server I have server2.maindoamin.com even though the domain itself is not hosted on that server.

problem is on each server I get the usual hostname A entry not found popup error.

I deleted the dns entry, re-added it on both servers, same issue.

    I've done /scripts/fixndc and all.

On server 1 I edited the domain's dns to add

server - IP address of that server
    server1 - IP address of server 2

hoping that it would fix...been over 24hrs, same issue.

    Any suggestions?

    Go on, have a guess
You haven't created a separate zone file for each hostname have you (server.mydomains.com and server1.mydomain.com)? If you have, you should delete any and all that exist on both servers. Then only on the authoritative server for mydomain.com, edit that zone file (mydomain.com) and add A records for each hostname: server and server1

I've done this but unfortunately I'm still getting the popups on the 2nd and 3rd server even after removing the A entry dns zones from each one.

    What do you suggest?

    Thanks
