hostin pictures

    I've put few pictures in my public_html folder and pointed the URL to them on the photoforum.
    But nobody can see them, because it asking password for cpanel, when somebody want to see the pictures.
    I've already tried to change the permission for folder and files, bu it doesn't help.

    What should I do ?

    Can you post the link here. To the photo forum and perhaps the pictures links. It should not be asking for your cpanel password.

    Which URL you are using to point, I think you are using cPanel port in between the URL or you have password protect directory check your .htaccess file.

    You right, when I copy/past picture URL address, I've got it from the cpanel screen and it contens the cpanel address.
    What should I do if I want to point to the image file which is outside of the public_html folder ?

    Thank you for your help.
