    Good day everyone.

We have a local client, a Ford dealer, who wants us to handle their email accounts.

Their domain is owned and hosted by Ford though.
I've contacted Ford and they've changed the MX record on their DNS to point to our servers. (Ford doesn't supply email service for dealers it seems.)

If I send mail to myself@theirdomain.com, it works fine.

BUT, I can't setup POP/SMTP mail, and for webmail they have to use the IP address.

    Any thoughts or pointers?

If you set it up as an account, you should be able to do pop and smtp by using the ip address or the server hostname as the outgoing and incoming mail servers.

What did Ford enter for the MX record ? The FQDN of the server, the server domain name or the server IP address ???

I need to perform the same exact setup for a client !
