I am trying to host some websites.
This was working at first but now I dont know why everything got messed up.

    I own the domain's exservers.com, exservers.net and 818productions.net
    The name servers are ns1.exservers.com
    and ns2.exservers.com

    exservers.net just forwards to exservers.com

The main ip of my server is 65.75.154.220.
I own all of the ips up to 65.75.154.229.

    I created 2 user names:
    extreme (domain is exservers.com)
    and prod818 (domain is 818productions.net)

http://exservers.com resolves to a page that says nothing is setup. (where do i set this up)
www.exservers.com used to load the stuff in the www dir
818 productions doesnot load at all.

I dont know what is going on but everything was working and now my head is about to explode.

Please help me troubleshoot why everything is not working.

first off your 2 domains have not not propagated yet I see the park page of your registar
ns2.exservers.com is not a registered namserver or has not propagated yet

wait until you DNS propagates all the way and then post your troubles

prod818 displays just fine via your ip ~username

extreme does not but you could have it turned off

How can I turn extreme back on if it is off.
Based on what im looking at, as well as pinging both name servers, both have propigated though the system.

From my screen, www.818productions.com is not working. It takes about 2 min to load a page that says that its not setup, instead of an under construction page like it should be.

    Help?

Your www.818productions.com site is available now. Host name can be pretty much what you want. Resolv.conf should look something like this:
    domain "host name"
    search "host name"
    nameserver "virtual/shared IP"
    nameserver ns1.exservers.com
    nameserver ns2.exservers.com

It seems to be working now

How do I setup reverse DNS?

Also, I al receiving this error:
    "
IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
The hostname (host.exservers.com) resolves to . It should resolve to 65.75.154.220. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.

Some are all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you believe everything else is correct.

    You may be able to
automaticly correct this problem by using the ' Add an A entry for your
hostname ' under ' Dns Functions ' in your Web Host Manager
    "

WHen I ping host.exservers.com, it does go to that ip.

Also, when i ping exservers.com, it goes to some other ip. How do I change it?

    Thanks

Ask your provider or NOC to set it for you.
