Hi

I changed my hostname via WHM.
It did not update the mailserver greeting however.
So it still claims to be the old host name as opposed to the new name.
Where is that changed?

Try: /etc/init.d/exim restart.

Verify your /etc/hosts is setup properly and grep ^HOST /etc/wwwacct.conf should spit out the hostname you set. Make sure the hostname is a FQDN and does not start with a number, ftp, mail, or www.

Try running hostname on the machine to make sure its setup properly. You can try host `hostname` to be sure it resolves. If you're running RH/CentOS/FC, make sure its setup properly in /etc/sysconfig/network.

Thanks

Restarting exim did the trick...
I thought the cPanel host updater did it but I guess not!
