Hello @Nirjonadda,

It's by design the server's hostname does not open a custom website. It's not intended for use the same way a domain is hosted under an individual cPanel account. You can read more information about the hostname requirements at:

Note that you can use WHM >> Web Template Editor to modify the contents of the default website page.

Additionally, can you share some more information about your intent? For instance, what's leading you to setup custom content for the hostname?

Thank you.

Hi @Nirjonadda,

You need to upload the website files respectively to document root folders and if you are trying to test the site before updating the DNS records you can use cPanel temporary URL is a link that helps users access their site via the server IP address, instead of the domain name. The format of this temporary URL is usually ‘http://ipaddress/~user/'.

The ‘IP address’ used is the server’s shared IP address. It can be replaced with the server’s hostname also. The name of the cPanel user account in the server is specified as the’user’ field of the URL. This temporary URL feature is provided in servers that have the Apache module ‘mod_userdir’ compiled in. For add-on domains, the cPanel temporary URL is ‘http://ipaddress/~user/path_outside_public_html/’.

Give this a try and post back with the errors you have identified and we shall try to resolve it.
