    Hello!

I use cPanel 11.25.0-RELEASE to access my shared hosting at HostGator.com. I noticed that if I disable HotLink Protection feature, cPanel removes "RewriteEngine on" directive from .htaccess unconditionally, regardless of was it there earlier or not. I think it is as incorrect behavior. Adding "RewriteEngine on" directive to .htaccess when HotLink Protection is enabled, cPanel should mark it somehow (for example, by surrounding comments) to indicate that the directive was added by cPanel. When disabling HotLink Protection, cPanel should check if "RewriteEngine on" directive was really added by cPanel, otherwise it should not remove it.

    Regards,
    Eugene
