Theres some stupid site which steals everyones bandwidth at http://fusker.lewww.com/

They spider urls and list images directly within the page; I had Hotlink Enabled but this didnt stop this site from remotely hot linking to the images. Hot link protection does not work period.

Whats with this? What has to be done in order for hotlink protection to actually work? Does the .htaccess file for the specified account have to have any special permissions or anything? I enabled hot linking just then; went back into hotlink protection and it said it was on and then checked it a few minutes later and it was disabled again! How can hotlinking protection disable itself?

just stuff this in your .htaccess

    ### Prevent "hot linking" of my images from other sites
    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://yoursite.net/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.yoursite.net/.*$ [NC]

    RewriteRule .*.(gif|GIF|jpg|JPG)$ [F,L]
