I'm trying to add hotlink protection, but am confused by 2 seemingly contradictory statements. I want to disallow as much linking as possible.

    1) in 1st paragraph of settings, it says...
"Other sites will still be able to link to any file type that you don't specify below (ie. html files). "

But... then below that it says...
"Extensions to allow" with "jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp" filled in.

The first paragraph makes it sound like i'm supposed to type what i don't want people to be able to link to, but the "Extensions to allow" setting makes it sound like i'm supposed to type in the file types I WANT people to be able to link to. What am i missing, and how should this be filled out if i don't want images to be linkable?

    2) how restrictive can i get? Will it hurt to restrict html files from linking too?

    3) any negative affects from disabling "Allow direct requests" ?
