Hi guys,

A very short question... do you allow or disallow hotlinking? (you can answer the poll above)

(Hotlinking means that another website can show an image that is located on your website. This way your bandwidth is being "stolen". 5 Years ago it was very common to set a .htaccess rule to prevent other websites from stealing your images (and thus bandwidth). Today there is more bandwidth available and I wonder if hotlinking, or the preventing of hotlinking, is still an issue nowadays.)

Thanks for your reply! Appreciate that!

I know I can set it very easily in cPanel, but I'm just curious if it is still commom to disable hotlinking as it was a couple of years ago. So that's why I'm wondering what other people do, or do not do.

You mean that most people DO disable hotlinking? But earlier you said that it's not an issue, so I thought you meant that most people do allow hotlinking. So I don't quite understand now. Do you or do you not disable hotlinking?
