hourly mail limit

    May i know how does the outgoing mail hourly limit works?

    does cpanel have a cron job predefine hourly to reset the outgoing email counter of each domain? if it is, anyone know what is the time of reset?

    or cpanel will check the outgoing count for the last 60 min at that moment?


    when someone requesting a read receipt, does sending a read receipt included in this hourly limit?

    You can set the mail limit from WHM --> Tweak Settings--> The maximum each domain can send out per hour. Changing the value from tweak settings affect all the domians hosted in your server.

    However, you can change the sending limit per domain using the below mentioned steps:

    pico /var/cpanel/maxemailsperdomain/yourdomainhere.com

    yourdomainhere.com is the domain for increasing the number of mails. Once you enter the no. in the file. You may save it and REMEMBER to restart exim services by executing the following command :

    /scripts/build_maxemails_config
