I just started using BoxTrapper so sorry for the newbie questions. I will be posting separate threads for each questions if that is OK. I always found it best not to muddle a thread with too many questions. If that is out of bounds please give me a digital slap. :)

How is the verification message supposed to be sent out to the sender in BoxTrapper? I have a couple of email accounts that are not on my white list. I sent an email to my BoxTrapper protected account. I can see the email in my queue but the "sender" never got a verification message asking them to respond to verify that they are a real person. What causes that message to go out?

Hello :)

When an email is sent to an account that has enabled BoxTrapper, BoxTrapper automatically sends a verification email in response. Check /var/log/exim_mainlog to see if that verification email was sent. You can search the log with a command such as:

Code:
exigrep user@domain-verification-sent-to /var/log/exim_mainlog
Thank you.

I do not believe I have access to the console. cPanel is provided by my internet provider Directnic.

They do have a page that shows the log. Here is the latest entry

Delivering message to queue and asking for verification [email protected]/Drive your partner crazy in *bed-tonight
.
I see nothing that says a message was sent out. Is there something that needs to be enabled?

You will need to contact your web hosting provider and have them investigate this issue for you. You will not be able to review the Exim logs to determine what might be preventing delivery of the email if you do not have root access to the server.

Thank you.
