    Hi,

I am moving from Plesk to CPanel because Plesk bad practices.

However, there are some configurations I have not find documentation.

    1. How can I configure "standard forwarding" in CPanel?
I have maindomain.com and parkeddomian.com. parkeddomian.com points to maindomain.com with the e-mails from the first arriving to the second. By other hand, main domain is forwarded to an external domain / URL.

With this configuration, the http services goes to the external domain, but mails to local.

    2. Does BoxTrapper use the white list that each mail user defines using webmail?

    3. Can the mail queue be monitored?

    4. Can secure ftp accounts be configured?

    5. Can the Horde interface be modified?

    6. Do the mayor upgrades (version 8 to 7 or 11 to 10) in CPanel are compatible with previous one or is the same than in Plesk where new ones are incompatible with themselves nor Virtuozzo?

    7. Is there a mail user interface as in Plesk to set up the spam, antivirus, password, etc.?

    8. How can I send e-mails to all the users in the server?

    Greetings

I would advise against downgrades as new versions of our software have features not available in previous versions of our software. Downgrading may sometimes result in a broken server, especially if you're making use of these new features (such as Apache 2 support in cPanel 11 which isn't available in cPanel 10).

To e-mail all users, login to the WHM interface and under "Account Functions" click "Email all Users"

    Spiral,

I am glad that CPanel can do all those things, please let me know where can I find the documentation, specially about the use of the end user white list by BoxTraper, because I saw only a list for the whole server.

I neither found about the domains standard forwarding, the customization of horde or the end user interface demo.

    David,

I may not explain myself well because I am concerned about upgrades, there must be "(version 8 FROM 7 or 11 FROM 10)", this is something important for me because upgrades has been always a problem with Plesk, specially under Virtuozzo. I wonder if you could also help me to find information to accomplish the mentioned task.

    Thank you both.

In that case, that's a different story :)

Upgrading from 10 to 11 is fairly smooth from what I've seen on the forums with the later builds of cPanel 11 in EDGE. Recently our QA team has been working hard to ensure that upgrades run smoothly. I'd hardly call it a nightmare, however in the worst cases I've seen Sysadmins having to tweak things here and there to get things working properly. We are working to eliminate the bugs that require any sort of manual tweaking after the upgrade. The goal is to make moving from cPanel 10 to 11 as seamless as any typical cPanel update.

For cPanel 10: in the cPanel Interface click on "Mail." On the page that appears, click on "BoxTrapper Spam Trap." Click the "Manage" link next to the e-mail address then click "Edit Forward/White/Black/Ignore Lists" then click on "Edit White List."

In cPanel 11: When a user logs into webmail, they can click on the BoxTrapper icon then click on "Edit White/Black/Ignore Lists" then click on "Edit White List."

    David,

Please let me know where is the documentation to make all the tasks, I had found many of them, but the standard forwarding domains is missing and is very important.

All our documentation can be found at: http://www.cPanel.net/support/docs

Note we are currently re-working our documentation and the new documentation should be available upon the release of cPanel 11.
