How can i incorporate fantastico into vertex skin?

    Hi all,

    I really prefer the vertex skin, and would like to know how i can add the Fanatastico to it.....

    Also what happens when the vertex skin gets an update????

    We have a good 11 skins installed on our boxes that we support. And with each of them, we have to modify the skin itself and add a link to Fantastico. The link you would add is simply an <a href="fantastico/index.php">Fantastico</a> to one of your skins index pages.

    You could get fancy (as we have) and place the logo elsewhere in the skin and even use a graphic. We specially created graphics for all of our skins for Fantastico to make it easier, but we first started off with the simple link.

    Regarding updates.. you'll have to disable them until there is a way to customize skins without being affected by updates (as updates could wipe out any changes you make).

    So where do i find the templates on the server? and is it html or PHP or ASP???

    All skins are all located here and, from the best of my memory, are all in html form:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/

    You can put the link within the cPanel news section, then any skin that supports it (I know Vertex doesnt) will have the link. We also use news to put a link for our skin changer. Then you don't have to worry about updates.

    hmmm i had a look at it and after thinking about when updates happen and that i cant be doing with the hassle.... i decided to go with the X2 skin... as it auto supports it....
