how can i log into my CP from work?

hey all, i'm a noob here but have used CP for a while. except i can't remember what i put in my address bar to get the CP menu so i can login. I'm at works the reason. this is the script i brought from home. (with user being my domain of course)
http://www.user.com:2082/frontend/x2/files/index.html

should this work? if it should, i have a firewall situation.....thx

http://IP:2082 should get you into cPanel. If your work's firewall is preventing higher ports then you might want to search for a cpanel proxy that's been floating around for years and tunnel through port 80

yea, i just tried that with my shared ip address i brought from home. nada!! i also added a proxy server address we use here to get around the client and still nada!!

before i go any further, should my CP shared ip address work, or am i going to have to break down and get a REAL static ip addy?

make sure your router is setup properly to forward traffic to your home pc.
