cPanel 11 was included in my web hosting package. I have been very happy with its feature set.

    I have a website located at kwarp.com
My portfolio page is located at kwarp.com/portfolio.html
I want a URL request for kwarp.com/portfolio to redirect to kwarp.com/portfolio.html

Can cPanel do this? Do I need to jump through a few hoops? I'm a programmer by trade, and can handle anything technically complicated.

Your host can assist you with this, you should try there.

Short of that, find the "Redirects" icon in your cPanel where you can setup redirects properly.

Add the following in the .htaccess file located in the location /home/user/public_html folder.

    Code:
    redirect /portfolio /portfolio.html
