How can save edited files via vi command?

    I can open and edit files with vi command, but cannot save them?
    please,help me.

    You can also try to use pico or nano instead.
    These two editors are available in most *nix distros, and are easy to work with.

    I am logining via root, but my server don`t accept pico command. how can i enable this command on my server?

    How did you even edit the file in VI!??

    I learned Vi on Mandrake, which I later found out used a different version of vi then what I now use on FreeBSD.
