Any body know about it
the default location of Cpanel phpMyAdmin is /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin we've just installed the up-to-date version in this location, but you need to make some modifications to the main configuration file used/ I believe the name of the file is config.ini.php or something like that.

Will these changes stay in place the next time cPanel runs updates or will it revert back to what cPanel wants?
The cPanel won't overwrite or revert back PhpMyAdmin to the default version.

yes it will overwrite andy. your phpmyadmin will be reverted to the same as it was before. anyway you can just create a script with those commands to put back the phpmyadmin that you want.

but right now i don't bother abt phpmyadmin upgrade. why would i? i just need it to work, not to be fancy.
