I'm in the same boat.

We set up a notice using cPanel & WHM news, but our students don't click on the notification.
We are trying to just fire a simple Javascript Modal window when they successfully login.

In our case, we resell to 8,000+ active users who are students/staff/faculty and need an easy way to put maintenance notices.

Read confirmation is not needed.
Our students are unlikely to pay attention to the notification icon in the top right of the home screen



We are looking for an easy way to present a modal window upon them logging into cPanel, which states about upcoming downtime.
