    Hello.

Is it possible to disable only the root user from logging on the server, using the username and password.

If I use WHM / secure center / SSH Password Auth Tweak feature so that disable some of my customers logon user name and password. I just want to prevent the root user password for logging on.

    Best regards,
    Timgles

If you want to disable direct login as root, you can replace the line "PermitRootLogin yes" to "PermitRootLogin no" .

You can do this by editing you sshd_config

    vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config

change PermitRootLogin yes to PermitRootLogin no

    Then restart the service sshd
