How Do I active the CURL extension for PHP?

This is the error that I get:

Your web server is not properly configured to use this importer. Please enable the CURL extension for PHP and then reload this page.

Any help is appreciated.

You need to compile it wiht apache either on the whm recompile apache page or by using ssh with root access and using easyapache
