I had installed joomla, and then wanted to install a forum for it. In the instructions, it says to do this:

"check the configuration.php file of your Joomla installation for the following variables:

    $mosConfig_user
    $mosConfig_password
    $mosConfig_db
    "

I am a n00b and don't know how to get there.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You should get help from the Joomla project. But in short, configuration.php would be the configuration file for your joomla installation. It looks like its having trouble with the variables listed such as the database, user and password. Use your cpanel file manager or an ftp client to get to your files.

Get into the directory where you have installed joomla and search for the configuration.php file.
