For a while now every time I go to a search engine it doesn't work, whenever I go to Google.com, it goes to a CPanel page saying that there is no website configured at the address.

I don't remember ever installing whatever cpanel is, and I know that it isn't any kind of firewall because other people where I live dont have the same problem.

If someone could please help me, it would be appreciated. It is kind of annoying when I am a college student and cant even search the web for research.

You have a virus on your computer....it was redirecting you to a website that has since been removed. Its not CPanel doing it, but the virus sending you there. Take a peek around these forums for a fix and more information.

It appears that a lot of people got hit by that virus.

Obviously people who write viruses must know programming. If only they could find a real job to use their skills. ;)

It definitely sounds like your Computer has been infected.

For more information on this virus including methods of removal please visit one of the following site for more information.

Has helped one my Clients in the same situation. The Symantic site explained how to remove a connected 'bat' file and the problem was fixed.
