Hi, how do I install my own rpm into Cpanel WHM? I have this php script that needs these codecs to be installed. To my understanding, I have to do that through the admin account on the WHM, or am I wrong? Can I install codecs (either in rpm or not) within domain accounts? Some of these codecs include ffmpeg, lame, and some others.

precocial, RPM's are installed via the SSH Terminal.

    No SSh Client?
For Windows, you can use Putty.
    (available from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/)
if you dont know how to use it, read the docs located on that site.
If you are using *nix, use the Terminal to login :)

There are some notes on installing RPM's via the terminal available at
    http://dirac.org/linux/rpm.html
    Happy reading :)

Using WHM rpm installer you can install certain rpms which is listed in the rpm installer, if the rpm is not there. YOu need to login as root and install using yum or up2date or download the rpm and use rpm -Uhv rpmname.prm

hope that helps, to install you need root access to the server
