Exactly what the title says, I have no clue how to make an IP "SHARED" as far as cpanel is conecerned, I can only put ONE site per IP address, I tried "Change Multiple Sites' IP Addresses" but it doesn't work, only works on the first website to change, and gives errors for all the other sites, says IP address is already used and is not a "shared ip".

So how do I make an IP address shared, like my main server's IP address?

Did you set this value in WHM/Server Configuration/Basic cPanel/WHM Setup/Main Shared Virtual Host IP?

    Main >> Service Configuration

    Service Manager
    FTP Configuration
    Exim Configuration Editor
    Postgres Config
    Bandmin Password
    Nameserver Setup
    Enable/Disable SuExec

    Sorry, I found WHM/Server Configuration but I don't see /Basic cPanel/WHM Setup/Main Shared Virtual Host IP?

    IS there something wrong?

What I did find after 15 minutes of searching, is this:

Main >> Server Setup >> Edit Setup
    Main Shared Virtual Host IP

    * The IP address that will be used for setting up shared IP virtual hosts. This can only be one address. Do not enter multiple addresses. The examples are only intended to show valid entries.

But that SCREAMS out ONLY ONE IP address. So how can I have multiple shared IP addresses on my server?

What is your WHM version info?

You must have a different WHM version.
    Mine is:
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-E28
    RedHat 9 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

It show this as the first menu item of the left frame:
    Server Configuration

    Basic cPanel/WHM Setup
    Change Root Password
    Initial Quota Setup
    Server Time
    Statistics Software Configuration
    Tweak Settings
    Update Config

It clearly states in Basic cPanel/WHM setup
So perhaps an upgrade to a newer WHM version might give you this menu combination.

    WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-R82
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Izzee, You yourself just copied and pasted but didn't read.

    It said:

    Main Shared Virtual Host IP

    * The IP address that will be used for setting up shared IP virtual hosts. This can only be one address. Do not enter multiple addresses.

    Example: 10.11.133.14

On YOURS, let me point something out you missed or I just don't think you read, "his can only be one address. Do not enter multiple addresses."

Did you see that part? It said only ONE IP address can be entered. I have my main server's ip in there. What I want to do is add the other 49 ip addresses that resolve to my server to the "shared" list so I can put multiple sites on them.

I will try a reseller account tommorow, but I doubt that will work, I hope it does.

Please try and refrain from flaming people who are trying to help you on this forum. It is not the way to go and will more than likely slow down the help that might otherwise have been offered.

    I did read your post.

My post was intended to emphasise the point that only one IP can be used as a shared IP.

That can't be changed no matter how much you would like it to.

You have also given a negetive response to a poster who offered the only choice you might have of achieving your goal. Not the best way to win support on these forums.

on "Reseller Center" there is "Manage Main Shared/Ipless Ip" link, may be you should check it.

I apologize you guys if I came off rude, I didn't mean to flame or be rude to anyone, I was simply making factual responses.
