    really tough to find
    simple

You dont want cpanel at all on the server, just plain server ?

    1) Ask your DC to reload the server without control panel, should be free.

    OR

    2) Remove

    rm -rf /var/cpanel/users
    rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel
    rm -rf /scripts

few files still remain, should not harm the overall working..

Uncheck it from 'Addon Modules' within WHM.

Try checking it and installing it (even though it already is), and then uninstall it.

Why didn't you think it worth mentioning this to begin with?

Incidentally, what indication is there that the cPanel pro module is installed?
