I have my own domain with Cpanel. I accidentally deleted a file, but I did an entire site backup a few days ago. I don't want to restore everything, just get one file back. How do I do that?

You will have to download the backup, untar it and upload the required file OR have to ask your hosting company to do the same. There is no option in cPanel to restore a specific file from the backup.

You can extract the file from cPanel, Just login to cPanel then File Manage and click on the backup then choose extract file, It will be extracted then you should see the file or you would see a file called homedir.tar, You can extract it also by this way then enter public_html and get the file you want.
