We have been using CPanel for a couple of years and like it. But I often seem to discover mysterious new options and addons appearing in WHM without warning. Although I keep an eye on the changelog I have no idea what to expect next. Is there nowhere that we can see what updates/enhancements are added or plan to be added? An RSS feed would be ideal! I cannot be alone in this.

Go on, have a guess
cpdan (IIRC) said that they're going to implement a new changelog system shortly that will address the issues with the currect changelog. Incidentally, there is an RSS feed for the current changelog, but since they've not been updating it, it's not much help.

Sorry to bring back on old thread but did anything ever happen with this?

An RSS changelog feed for each version would be really useful.

The first we tend to know that a RELEASE version has been implemented is when our customers call us :)

Hi,

Not really - I was after an RSS feed! Am I supposed to check that page everyday?!

Sorry, I think there may be a misunderstanding.

We have our cpanel servers set to automatica update on the release version - but the problem is we never know when cpanel has been upgraded.

We'd like an RSS feed or similar to say "Hey, your cpanel was upgraded last night and this is what's changed . . ."

Does that make sense?

You should get an email notification from the server. I would suggest not running on auto. As good as cpanel is, trusting the updates not to have a bug at some point or update failure is risky unless you have an alert system to wake you. I would rather not find the server down half the night while sleeping eh...
