    How do you specify a different skin than xmail for the webmail section?

    Hi Valetia,

    You can do this by,

    WHM->Themes->Change WHM Theme

    Click the theme you want . After a few seconds, your WHM will have the theme selected by you.

    Regards,

    Bright:)

    Webmail themes can be found on your server at /usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail.

    In the case of my server, I had two themes listed here: monsoon and x. The monsoon webmail theme is only used when the monsoon cpanel theme is selected. The x webmail theme is used by default for all other cpanel themes.

    To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to change the webmail theme in the whm. However, if you're using a cpanel theme other than monsoon or x, you could create a new theme and place it in a folder named the same as the cpanel theme in the /usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail folder.

    Since I created a custom cpanel theme for my clients and placed it in a folder called tsg, I also created a custom webmail theme and placed it in a folder called tsg. This way, my clients who use my custom cpanel theme also use my custom webmail theme.

    Hope this makes sense and helps...

    Ah that explains it, I had thought that the Webmail theme for the x theme was located at:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/xmail

    and was wondering where the rest were. Silly me!

    Thanks!!

    No problem!

    And, just fyi... the xmail theme is just another cpanel theme that only gives the user options to manage their email accounts... of course, it's not very secure as any user that you might have that knows a little about how cpanel works would be able to execute commands to make other changes to their account... hopefully cpanel 9 will fix this.
