How do you clean out a mailbox without webmail or pop3 access. (through root)

    I have a have several email accounts that have a so many emails that I just assume delete all the email through root if possible.

    Anyone know how?

    Also is there a way to change the default email to ":fail: no such address here" server wide with one shot. I would like to just have a default email do this and have them changed if needed. I know you can have it this way for new account but what about existing accounts is there anything we ca for this?

    To your second question yes goto Tweak Settings there are options their. AS for question one i don't believe you have the ability to clean out a mailbox as intended only the queue, you would need to do it through FTP access.

    are you wanting to NULL out the mailbox for each main account or each account on your server.

    Take a look at /home/account/mail

    You can null out the main account using "> inbox"

    To see the size of the main account inbox do this

    ls -al /home/*/mail/inbox
