In the root directory, there is the public_html, public_ftp, mail, www, etc folders

How would you go about recreating the "www" folder is it got deleted? Uploading a folder called "www" just creates a blank folder instead of linking to public_html like it used to?

    thanks

The www isn't a folder. It's a symbolic link to the public_html folder.

To recreate it you need to go in with a shell program if you have shell access, and from your root directory, (where you see the public_html, public_ftp, mail), do the following:

    ln -s public_html www
