    I've always wonder about this:

If someone sends an email to ten email addresses does the cPanel routine that counts emails per hour count that as one email or ten emails?

    TIA

If the act of sending an email to 10 people causes Exim to generate 10 different sendings then that is counted as 10 messages sent.

If the act of sending an email to 10 people causes Exim to generate a single send then that is counted as one message sent.

Messages that result in an error causing queuing of the message can be counted multiple times, even in the same hour-period, depending upon your Exim retry settings.

The actual logic is handled by the trackbandwidth Exim router. This calls some functions in /etc/exim.pl.local which perform the analysis and calculations.
