how I can install modgzip

    Although this has nothing to do with the cPanel, you can download the binary package from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mod-gzip/ Untar the file, cd to mod-gzip directory, and follow the instructions given in INSTALL or README files. Hope this helps!

    Assuming you are running cPanel you can install Mod_Gzip very easily:

    Login to WHM (root)
    Select Apache Update
    Select Mod_Gzip (Experimental) PHP 4.4.4, GD and any other features you require.
    Click Build/Compile

    You can also do this via ssh using /scripts/easyapache
