I am still using cpanel 10.6.0-R55 Release version. Anyone updated to latest release version successfully?

How is it running? Stable? How to check uw-imap version after upgrade?

    Imap Not Installed?

    That gives:
    package imap is not installed

    How could this be?

My10.7.1-R4 gives the same message, though WHM shows imap service as green, nobody can login to pop3, squirelmail says imap connection dropped, and Horde gives the error below.

Notice: (null)(): [CLOSED] IMAP connection broken (server response) (errflg=1) in Unknown on line

I've gone through everything in the post:
    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=39387&highlight=horde

as well as anything else on this impa/maildir conversion and email issues.

Everything is fine on my redhat RE4 servers, but this FC3 is screwy. *shrug* Glad its not 100% production server at this time.

    This was my fix:
    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=44956&highlight=authdaemond

    More specifically:

    /scripts/ensurerpm libtool libtool-libs
    /scripts/courierup --force

But that shows 10.8.0 (build 89) - BETA Tree. What about RELEASE and STABLE build?

Or as long as it is 10.8.0 and build 89 and above the patch will already been applied?

There's only one version number scheme for the cPanel releases, just different update trees. So it doesn't matter which tree you use, so long as the version number is greater or equal to the one mentioned.

Hmm... Now I'm totally discombobulated :/
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R10
    CentOS 3.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
    Kernel 2.6.10dn
    #rpm -q imap
    imap-2002d-11
    #imapd
    ...IMAP4rev1 2003.338rh...
My yum.conf gets its updates from caos.fortressitx.com
I have port 143 blocked from outside using apf/iptables.
    Should I :-
o wait for fortressitx.com to provide an update?
o build it from source at ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/imap/ ? (and how would I convince rpm that it's been upgraded?)
o throw in the towel, cross my fingers and run the maildir conversion?

Slightly off-topic but this is the newbies forum... Why are cpanel providing this update? Is uw-imap normally bundled with cp or something?
    All assistance gratefully received,
    Marty

That's not the imap daemon that cPanel uses:

    strings /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/imapd | grep cpanel
