How I Fix My Apache ? [moved]

    How I Fix My Apache ?

    my apache wont start. i click Restart httpd and it says failed please contact sysadmin. anyone know how i can fix it ? or reset apache to default as it came with my server coz its annoyin me :confused:

    If you have shell access ( as root ), try starting from the shell:

    root# /etc/init.d/httpd start

    If it still fails, check apache error logs ( /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log )
    and paste the error.

    That's not how you view a file from shell. You need to use a utility like tail or cat. You are going to either teach yourself some basic Linux skills or, if you're not interested, hire a server administrator to look after your server for you. Here's some useful tutorials:

    I don't see any major issue related to apache in this portion of your errolog file. Youre' better off hiring a sys admin to fix this problem for you.
