    Hey,
I turned on the backup feature of the server last night. my cpbackup script is set to run at 1AM every night. But its now 11AM and its STILL running. I didnt think it took 10 hours to move 10Gb to an nfs mounted drive. Or am I wrong? Is this perfectly normal?

    Hi,

There are a lot of contibuting factors here you have to look at the following infomation:

Server spec. hard disk type etc.
Server load, if your server is overloaded or RAM short it will increase backup times
Amount of files, the more single files the longer it takes.
The speed and traffic on the link to the NFS mount, a botttleneck here is one of the most common causes for slow backups.

    Regards,
