Please raise your hand. I think im going to give this another month or two before i actually run any conversions here. I have disabled Neomail so my users will be used to not having it by the time of the convertion.

I did not do the conversion and a hacker gained root access to two of my servers... I am not sure if he used the IMAP hole though.

We notified customers firstly that Neomail and Squirrel would be removed, then after a week of not having it and getting their address books etc etc over onto Horde we then converted. The only problem we came across was that the WHM conversion stuck the mail backup into the root partition instead of the backup partition...ran out of room real quick.

Recommend conversion be run from shell

I've read so many posts about problems with the conversion that I am still waiting. At first I was told that it would be voluntary but more and more it seems it will be unavoidable. I didn't realize that Squirrel Mail would also have to be removed (along with Neomail) - that will be a big problem with my users. Horde, ugh.

I haven't done the conversion. The uw-imap fix was released very quickly by cPanel so I didn't see any need to make my clients suffer.

How can you identify that your servers are running the latest uw-imap? Also, what versions of cpanel are they under? Stable, Release? Edge?

The uwimap fix was implemented in Release about 2 weeks ago. It's also in the latest stable. This is all a non-issue and has been for some time.

Why on earth would Squirrelmail have to be removed? I did the conversion and am still using Squirrelmail.

    I`m with rs-freddo,

We also did not see the need to convert. All our servers are running just fine ;)
