How many ip's...

    should i get from the datacenter for our first cpanel server?

    Vague question i know...

    2 would probably be the bare minimum:

    - one for your main shared IP, also to be shared with your primary DNS FQDN
    - one for your secondary DNS FQDN

    This is assuming that you're going to be running both your primary and secondary name servers from the same machine as everything else.

    If you're not planning on running DNS from the same box as everything else, just 1 IP would be the bare basic number you need.

    On top of all of that, you'd then need 1 extra IP per:

    - account that wants it's own IP
    - SSL cert (I think these are/should be IP specific, but may be wrong)
