    How many version of Exim4 are there? And which version is the version that works. One version sends duplicate message in Mailman and errors out with perl error in exim.pl, the other version has a syn error and refuses to send email from Modernbill. When can this bloody thing be fixed. Im tired of all the email problems and people screaming at us about their mail.

    If i do the exim4 update from the scripts directory i get an Exim conf that looks like this.

    #!!# ACL that is used after the RCPT command
    check_recipient:
    # Exim 3 had no checking on -bs messages, so for compatibility
    # we accept if the source is local SMTP (i.e. not over TCP/IP).
    # We do this by testing for an empty sending host field.
    accept hosts = :
    require verify = sender
    accept domains = +local_domains
    accept domains = +relay_domains
    accept condition = ${perl{checkrelayhost}{$sender_host_address}} <----- DIFFERENCE
    accept hosts = +relay_hosts
    accept hosts = +auth_relay_hosts
    endpass
    message = authentication required
    authenticated = *
    deny message = relay not permitted

    If i run the wget command that BDraco suggested in the 6/19 thread i get an Exim conf that looks like this;

    #!!# ACL that is used after the RCPT command
    check_recipient:
    # Exim 3 had no checking on -bs messages, so for compatibility
    # we accept if the source is local SMTP (i.e. not over TCP/IP).
    # We do this by testing for an empty sending host field.
    accept hosts = :
    require verify = sender
    accept domains = +local_domains
    accept domains = +relay_domains
    accept hosts = +relay_hosts
    accept hosts = +auth_relay_hosts
    endpass
    message = authentication required
    authenticated = *
    deny message = relay not permitted

    So which one is correct???????
