    Hello,

I'm wondering how many virtual email accounts added this way can be handled by cPanel:

    Code:
    /scripts/addpop user@domain.tld password
    100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 or more?

    Please help. Thanks.

It depends on the account plan that how much email accounts the plan supports.

If your hosting account package having following values then you can add unlimited E-mail accounts but in the end its depend on disk space assigned to your domains hosting account.

Enjoy cPanel hosting with unlimited E-mails.

It also depends upon your file system. Each email account is added as a subdirectory to /home/user/mail/example.com ( where example.com represents the domain name). The ext3 file system, which is often the default file system on Linux Distros) has a limit of around 33,000 subdirectories per directory. Other file systems have their own similar restrictions.

How big email providers (like universities for instance) are offering +100k accounts then?

    Please let me know. Thanks.

    Hi all!

Can we setup CPanel to store the email accont's subdirectory into another folder after this limit is reached? ie: /home/user/mail/example.com1

Anybody has a solution for this problem?
