How do I check how much disk space I have left on my dedicated server? I know to log in the cpanel and click disk space but that gives you a big list and not a total or if it does I don't know who to read it. Is there a way to log in my web host manager and check hard drive and/or disk space.

Thank you for any help in advance

I think that it but it has six things listed. Is home under Mounted on what shows my web page space? I really do not under stand what I am looking at.

and it says at the bottom of the chart "Please Update Your Version Of iostat. No Information Returned." What does that mean?

    Thank you

That shows how much your server (in total) is using. Each new chart is a different partition. Yes /home is where all the web space "stuff" is on.

    Hey,

No problem. You can also login to cPanel and on the left hand side you should see how much diskspace that account is using, or under List Accounts in WHM..

I have looked at that and the disk usage on Cpanel but that might as well be in greek. I know html coding, a small touch of php and how to use frontpage and upload FTP. After that I am lost. That is my only problem with Cpanel and most other web scripts and software, it is not user friendly to us old people who did not grow up with computers. And there is no books on the subject that is not to technical to read, I have been looking for years. Most web based software and scripts are made for people who grew us with this stuff. I can remember when TV went from three channels to four being a big deal and I am only 43!!! lol lol .

    but thanks for the help

You can also use get file size details via ssh such as,

    du -kh
    du -sh
    du -ch
