How Quota works with cPanel

Hello,
i have a question about how quota works.

For example I install cPanel and choose no to install quota.
If I set 100MB for an account, the user can upload more then 100MB. Yes this should be possible.

But can cPanel/system count the quota and send warn-mail to users?

And how difficult is to enable or disable the quota later ?

Hello

cPanel utilizes the quota feature of the operating system to detect disk space usage and quotas. You will not be able to have disk space usage calculated and warnings sent without enabling quota on the system. It's easy to enable quotas at a later time via:

"WHM Home » Server Configuration » Initial Quota Setup"

Removing the "usrjquota" entries in the /etc/fstab file for your partitions will disable quotas after you remount the partitions.
