    Hi all,

I'm totally new to CPanel. I've just ordered a dedicated server with CPanel installed. I read initial setup documentation, and finished all the setup. I tried to create a new account and tried to login into this newly created account using http://hostname.com:2086, but I was not able to.

    Can someone help?

    Thanks!

Yes, I did try that, apache login prompt appeared. I filled in user/pass, but it did not allow me to login. I did verify the user/pass by ssh, ssh accepts it.

    Thanks!

    Gosh !!!!

to access your cpanel account enter http://hostname.com:2082

to access your WHM mean web host manager where you create account enter http://hostname.com:2086

so , you access cpanel on port 2086 ... port 2086 is used to access your WHM not Cpanel

2082 is correct port to access cpanel

    thanks
